Our speaker for January is Adam Minter. This will be a zoom presentation, but we will also meet at the Irvine Fine Arts Center and listen to the zoom presentation on the screen there. Adam is a columnist at Bloomberg Opinion where he writes about China, technology, and the environment. He is the author of “Junkyard Planet: Travels in the Billion-Dollar Trash Trade” and “Secondhand: Travels in the New Global Garage Sale.” Adam will speak on the textile industry in Panipat, India.
